Frequently asked questions
Everything applicants ask us about summer camp jobs abroad — salary, visas, eligibility and how the placement actually works.
What is Robinhood Overseas?
Robinhood Overseas is a summer camp job placement agency based in Mehsana, Gujarat, India, founded in 2019 by Arpan Trivedi. We place Indian youth in paid summer camp jobs in the USA, Russia, Dubai (UAE), Canada and Australia, and we are an official International Cooperator of InterExchange, New York — recruiting staff for 300+ USA summer camps.
How much salary do summer camp jobs in the USA pay?
Recent seasons paid from $1,600 for ages 18–20 and $1,750 for ages 21+ across a season of roughly 9 weeks; exact Summer 2027 rates are confirmed with your camp offer. Food, accommodation and airport pickup are free on top of the salary, and you get 48 hours off each week — so nearly all of what you earn is yours.
Who is eligible for a summer camp job abroad?
You should be 18 or older, have conversational English, genuinely enjoy working with children, hold (or be willing to get) a valid passport, and have a skill or activity to teach — sports, swimming, music, arts, photography, cooking, outdoor activities and many more. Students, sports coaches and activity specialists are all welcome.
Which countries can I work in through Robinhood Overseas?
Our flagship program is the USA (via InterExchange). We also place staff in Russia through the Russia Camp Association network and in Dubai, UAE through partner CAP Sports Academy — plus we hold memberships with the Ontario Camps Association (Canada) and Australian Camps Association.
What visa do I need to work at a USA summer camp?
USA camp staff work on the J-1 Camp Counselor visa. We provide full visa consulting: we complete the application forms with you, assemble your supporting documents and train you for the visa interview. Our USA placements run through InterExchange, a designated J-1 sponsor organization.
What is included free with a camp job?
While at camp you receive free food, free on-site accommodation, and airport pickup and drop-off — on top of your salary. You also get 48 hours off each week to travel and explore.
What kind of jobs are available at summer camps?
Counselor and instructor roles across 70+ activities: tennis, archery, football, horse riding, martial arts, swimming, lifeguarding, sailing, kayaking, water skiing, rock climbing, ropes course, music, dance, acting, painting, photography, ceramics, woodworking, circus acts, child care, computers, cooking, farming and more. See the full list on the USA program page.
How long is a summer camp season?
A USA camp season is about 9 weeks, typically June to August. Many participants add travel time afterwards to explore the USA before flying home.
Do I need to be a professional coach to apply?
No. Camps hire both qualified coaches and enthusiastic generalists. What matters is a genuine skill you can teach, comfort working with children and good spoken English. We assess your skills honestly in a personal interview and recommend roles that fit.
How is Robinhood Overseas different from other agencies?
Our founder Arpan Trivedi worked at USA summer camps for 14 years as a program director and senior director — so you're prepared by someone who has actually run camps. Placements go through official channels (InterExchange and recognised camp associations), documents are verified before submission, and our support continues through your whole season.
When should I apply for a summer camp job?
As early as possible — camps begin hiring many months before the season. For Summer 2027, applying between autumn 2026 and early 2027 gives you the best choice of camps and interview slots, and leaves comfortable time for the J-1 visa process. See the full application timeline.
How do I apply?
Fill in the application form, WhatsApp or call us on +91 91733 35321, or email [email protected] with your details and the skill you'd like to teach. We'll interview you personally and guide you from there.
Can children join summer camps through Robinhood Overseas?
Yes — this is new for 2026. Our Russia Campers Program, run with the Russia Camp Association network, lets children aged 10–15 attend an international summer camp as campers. We guide parents through the application, documents and travel preparation. Contact us for the parents' information pack.
Does Robinhood Overseas arrange internships abroad?
Yes. Through our partnership with Jenza, a global work-and-travel organisation, we place Indian students and graduates in international internship programs — including J-1 internship and trainee routes in the USA. Fields, destinations and eligibility are confirmed individually during your consultation.
