September – October 2026: apply and build your profile
This is the ideal starting window — and it is open right now.
- Submit your application and sit our personal screening interview.
- Decide the activity you will teach and gather evidence: certificates, experience letters, photos or video of you coaching or performing.
- Apply for a passport immediately if you do not hold one — it gates everything else.
- Your profile enters the InterExchange system that camps hire from.
Early profiles are seen by the largest number of camps. It is that simple.
November 2026 – January 2027: camp interviews and offers
Directors plan their staffing across these months and run video interviews continuously.
- Expect interview requests on short notice — keep evenings flexible (US time zones mean calls often land late evening IST).
- We run practice interviews with you before any director call.
- Strong candidates frequently receive offers within days of a good interview.
- When you accept, your contract letter follows — the document your visa application is built on.
February – April 2027: paperwork and the visa
- Sponsor processing and your DS-2019 form.
- Fees paid, DS-160 completed, consulate appointment booked.
- Our visa interview training, then your appointment at the US consulate.
- Book flights as soon as the visa is stamped — prices only climb toward summer.

May – June 2027: orientation and departure
- Our pre-departure camp orientation: camp routines, cultural preparation, what to expect week by week.
- Final packing — use the packing checklist.
- Fly out. Your camp arranges airport pickup.
- Staff training week at camp before campers arrive.
June – August 2027: the season

August – September 2027: travel and home
Many participants use their permitted post-camp travel period to see New York, Boston, or the national parks before flying home — confirm your own permitted dates against your sponsor documents.
